A comparison site is only as good as its numbers. Here is exactly where ours come from, how we hedge them, and what we refuse to publish.

Where the Ranges Come From

• US pricing: published cash prices, hospital price-transparency filings, national cost surveys (KFF, FAIR Health-style data), and typical quoted ranges from provider websites.
• Colombia pricing: published clinic package pricing, quotes gathered from accredited providers, and typical ranges confirmed across multiple facilities in Medellín and Bogotá.
• Quality data: WHO health system rankings (2000 report — the last comprehensive WHO ranking published), JCI accreditation registries, ISAPS international survey data, SCCP (Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery) reporting, and SART/RedLara fertility registries.

How We Hedge

Every price on this site is presented as a typical 2026 range, not a promise. Your quote depends on your anatomy, your case complexity, the specific provider, and the week you ask. We show ranges wide enough to be honest and narrow enough to be useful.

What We Refuse to Publish

• No fabricated statistics. If we can't source it, it isn't here.
• No invented testimonials or patient stories. Ever.
• No overclaiming on investigational treatments. Our stem cell comparison leads with evidence caveats before pricing, because that's the honest order.
• No pretending savings equal zero trade-offs. Travel, recovery logistics, and follow-up planning are real considerations, and our articles address them directly.

About the WHO Ranking

Colombia's healthcare system was ranked #1 in the Western Hemisphere and #22 globally by the World Health Organization (2000 report) — ahead of the United States, Canada, and every other country in the Americas. We cite the report year (2000) every time because it's the last comprehensive WHO ranking of world health systems — and because sites that omit the year are being cute with you. We pair it with current JCI accreditation data (6 accredited hospitals in Colombia) for a present-day quality picture.
